Before The Wedding

If your date is available and you have decided to have Emily paint your wedding, a consultation (in person, Skype, phone) is necessary in order to determine the details and your vision for the artwork.

It's a chance for you to meet Emily, and for her to learn more about you as a couple, your story, and style.  She will go over the different packages and what each includes as well as answer any and all questions you may have about the artwork, process, and pricing.

When all of the important details have been decided upon, an event agreement outlining the work to be done and an invoice for a 20% deposit will be sent.

 

This deposit ensures that your wedding day is blocked off from future inquiries. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding day.

The Day Of

The day of your wedding Emily arrives at the venue before guests arrive to set up her easel and painting materials. During this time she begins painting the architecture and decor of the space. As your guests begin to enter, some of the background has already begun taking shape on the canvas.

Over the next 6-8 hours Emily carefully paints the newlyweds, the florals, details, and selected guests to the artwork, as well as interacts and converses with your guests.

 

Once completed, the easel is turned around for your guests to fully admire. Emily will then transport the artwork back to her home studio.

Afterwards

Back at Emily's home studio the final painting will be photographed and varnished. Depending on the package additional hours will be spent refining the artwork. All paintings will be completed and ready for pick up or delivery typically within 2-3 weeks.
