Live wedding painting is such a special and unique experience. Because of this, engaged couples always have lots of questions about how things work. This FAQ answers my top asked questions by both engaged couples, and those who are gifting a live wedding painting for an engaged couple.
Do you travel?
I love to travel! Although I am based in Southwestern Ontario I do hold a valid Canadian passport and am available to travel around the world for your wedding.
How far ahead of my wedding should I inquire?
My event calendar is on my website here, I suggest reaching out as soon as you've decided you want to have me at your wedding as I am only able to paint 1 wedding per day.
How do you decide what scene to paint?
I work with the couple to decide which scene they would like to capture.
What kind of supplies do you use?
I work with artist grade acrylic paints and high quality stretched cotton canvas.
Will my painting last forever?
Live paintings are created using high quality artist grade materials, and if taken proper care of, your painting can last 100s of years.
Are there any additional fees?
Travel fees are not included in the pricing packages on my website - travel fee is charged after 100km at $0.50/km, wedding taking place more than 3 hours away, or out of country require overnight accommodation.
How long have you been painting?
I have been creating art for over 20 years, but painting for the past 5, and painting weddings since 2018.
Can I hire you as a gift for a couple I know?
Absolutely, I love being a surprise! There may be some additional questions and logistics to figure out so if you are considering this - please send me a message.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit it 20% of the total cost, once paid your date is blocked off on the availability calendar. The balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.
